Abstract

|
The authors measured ´the mental health status of 1, 690 industrial laborers (male 798, female 892) throughout 5 months from June, 1980 to October, 1980, using Zung´s S.A.S. (Self-Rating Anxiety Scale) and S.D.S. (Self-Rating Depression Scale). The laborers were industrial workers in various industries at Gumi Industrial Base, Kyungpook Province,
Korea. The results can be summarized briefly as follows; both anxiety scores on S.A.S. and depression scores on S.D.S. were significantly higher in the industrial laborers group than in the control group.
